1. Core Physical Specifications

• Quantity: Two identical color photographs.
• Recency: Must be taken within the last 6 months.
• Dimensions: 45 mm (height) x 35 mm (width) (1.77" x 1.38").
• Head Size: The distance from the chin to the crown must be between 32 mm and 36 mm (occupying 70–80% of the vertical height).
• Background: Plain white only. No shadows, patterns, or reflections.

2. Pose and Expression

• Face: Full face, front view, looking directly at the camera. Head must be centered and level (no tilting or "portrait style" over the shoulder).
• Expression: Neutral expression with the mouth closed. Eyes must be open and clearly visible.
• Visibility: Both edges of the face, eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth, and ears must be clearly shown. Natural features like moles, birthmarks, or scars must remain visible.

3. Glasses and Contact Lenses

• Glasses: Eyewear is permitted but must not have tinted lenses (unless for the visually impaired). Frames must not cover any part of the eyes, and there must be no glare or reflection on the lenses.
• Contact Lenses: Strictly no colored or pupil-distorting contact lenses, as these can lead to visa rejection or issues at automated immigration gates.

4. Appearance and Attire

• Hair: Must not cover the eyebrows, eyes, or the edges of the face.
• Head Coverings: Not permitted except for religious or medical reasons. If worn, the face from the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead must be fully visible.
• Clothing: Do not wear military or police uniforms or camouflage patterns.
• Children: Photos must show only the child (no chairs, toys, pacifiers, or other people visible).

5. Technical Quality

• Print Quality: High resolution on plain, high-quality photographic paper. The image must be clear, sharp, and in focus with natural skin tones.
